I’ve written before about bird language and how you can use it to learn about your surroundings.  I’ve explained how birds see everything that happens in the forest… and that they like to gossip!

It’s amazing what you can learn when you tune in to bird language.  It’s like adding a sixth sense that tells you when predators are nearby.  You can also rely on squirrels as informants.  But birds are your ever-present allies.

 

It’s Easy to Learn Bird Language

In his famous book, What the Robin Knows, author Jon Young explains how to tune in to the play-by-play reporting birds offer.  Below are two videos from Jon’s DVD, Bird Language Basics with Jon Young.  They explain the five voices of birds, and how you can use their positions (shapes) to tell you about the animals around you.
