Mold are microscopic fungi.  They are a natural part of the environment and can be found almost anywhere moisture and oxygen are present.  But we usually don’t notice them until they inconvenience us.  This is a mistake!  Mold are fascinating organisms that play a vital role in nature.  They live on organic matter, breaking it down and decomposing it.  They are essential in the process of breaking down and recycling organic matter on our planet.
