Mountain Lion Tracks – Take the Quiz

In my previous post, I talked about how to read a mountain lion track.  Now let’s have some fun!  Below are 5 pictures of either a mountain lion track or a dog track.  Examine the pictures carefully.  For each picture tell me:

  1. Is it a mountain lion track or the track of a dog?
  2. If it is a mountain lion track, is it a right or a left?

The last picture is a little tough to see, so I will provide a small clue.

How to Check Your Answers

If you Email your answers to me using the contact page on this website, I will respond to your Email with whether your answers are correct.  Here is an answer sheet for the quiz:

  1. mountain lion/dog          right/left
  2. mountain lion/dog          right/left
  3. mountain lion/dog          right/left
  4. mountain lion/dog          right/left
  5. mountain lion/dog          right/left

Just paste the above list into the body of the contact form and edit it appropriately.  If it is a dog track, simply delete the “right/left” text for the picture.
