Discount on American Red Cross Online Training for NatureOutside Readers

arc_logoI received an Email from the American Red Cross today letting me know they are offering a discount on their online training courses.  I am allowed to pass the discount on to NatureOutside readers, so I thought I would let you know about the opportunity.

It is a 20% discount offered to people who register between now and the end of the month.  The discount is only good for the online-only courses.

All of these courses are “online only.”  Here is what they are offering:

Family First Aid and CPR (adult/pediatric)

The online-only course does not meet requirements for CPR certification!

Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector

The course includes a free EpiPen® (epinephrine) Auto-Injector training device.  My guess is that they only ship the training device to students in the United States.  But you can check.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training

Designed for those who risk on-the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids, the course teaches how bloodborne pathogens are spread. You’ll learn how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.

First Aid/Health and Safety for Coaches

This course, developed in conjunction with the National Federation of State High School Associations, gives an overview of first aid and ‘best practices’ for many situations encountered by sports coaches.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training for Tattoo Artists

The courses seem reasonably priced.  So if you need a “refresher” and do not require certification, you may want to look into using the discount on these online courses.
